Friday, 11 Aug 2006—the night when the staff of BCCSC dressed to the nines in seventies-gear! It was the Volunteers Appreciation Night and the dress-theme was retro. Our chairman Mr Lok Vi Ming shared words of thanks on behalf of BCCSC to the volunteers. Indeed, the compassionate service they render to our beneficiaries is invaluable. How wonderful it is that such priceless gifts are given free! |

Cheering for their team! The volunteers having fun. |

The volunteers and staff were kept busy throughout the night. The smiles on the beneficiaries and the glow of their candles kept the hearts of the volunteers warm. |

BCCSC Awareness Week |
|
17 and 24 September were the dates of our Awareness Week. During those Sunday mornings, we shared about our services with the congregation of Bethesda (Bedok-Tampines) Church (BBTC). There was a simple fund-raising effort for our Welfare Services and for the less-fortunate children in our Student Care Centres. The response from the church was overwhelmingly generous—we have raised enough to supply 20 families with our standard food ration package for a month. Thank you, BBTC! |
